Tesla exhausts inventory in Australia to finish biggest quarter of sales to date

Tesla appears to have had the biggest quarter for sales in Australia so far. After periods of high inventory levels for buyers to take immediate deliveries on, it now appears that the number one EV brand has cleared almost all its inventory.

Today, we look at what’s still available in its national inventory for buyers to take delivery of in the coming days.

Earlier this month, Tesla had many of its EV configurations available in stock with examples including brand new Model 3 RWD variants for under $64,000 before on-roads.

For those looking at a slightly larger SUV, there were also Model Y’s spotted in inventory in various colours and locations.

Then, the inventory of its more expensive Performance models built up on the back of more Tesla ships arriving during the month. To help move these cars, Tesla introduced free Supercharging on selected Australian stock models.

Along with that, large discounts were offered with savings of over $4,000 on some stocked vehicles.

Now nearly all the inventory has been cleared out with less than twenty vehicles available nationally at the time of writing.

Vehicles are available in various locations around Australia:

  • Queensland
    • Three Model Ys
  • Tasmania
    • Four Model 3s
    • One Model Y
  • Western Australia
    • Nine Model Ys

Western Australia has recently had a ship arrive with vehicles making it the 16th Australian-bound Tesla ship this quarter.

Tesla’s website still states that if inventory Performance vehicles are purchased before the end of the month, three months of supercharging is on offer.

Given the first two months of this quarter have seen a total of 8,152 Teslas, the last month is shaping up to be a record for the best-selling EV brand in the country.
