Kia will be launching their PV5 electric van around the middle of 2026, based on their flexible new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy, underpinned by the Electric-Global Modular Platform or E-GMP. This platform features Kia’s Flexible Body System which enables many different variants to be created using modular components for the roof, rear end and glass parts of the vehicle.
Based on approval documents, the PV5 will initially be available in either a 3 or 4-door cargo van configuration with a 71 kWh battery pack. Different body styles including passenger and chassis cab may come at a later stage. More details and pricing will be revealed before the launch.
