South Korean car parts company Hyundai Mobis says it will unveil the M.Vision X, an AI-included concept car for full autonomous driving, at the IAA Mobility 2021 show in Germany in September.
Hyundai Mobis, the seventh-largest automotive supplier and the “parts and service” arm for Hyundai Motor Company, said on Monday the all-electric, zero-emission M.Vision X purpose-built 4-seater mobility vehicle will be controlled autonomously as well as through an integrated centre cockpit that communicates with passengers by recognising their gestures.
The M.Vision X has a 360-degree window that can also be used as a display screen for watching your own content such as sports. Of course, the window displays can also be used individually – with parents able to watch out the window while the kids watch a movie on the back windows.
Not a lot else is known about the concept car, as Hyundai Mobis has not offered a lot of concrete details, apart from noting it will be the first time that it attends IAA as it pursues what it describes as “a strategic transformation into a software- and platform-oriented technology company.”
The company will also be showcasing technology components that can be found in the all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5, as well as technology solutions in a number of areas including hydrogen-electric powertrains, advanced heads-up displays, adaptive lighting technology, and chassis construction
