BYD has now launched the Atto 1 here, known as the BYD Seagull or Dolphin Surf in overseas markets. Atto 1 takes the crown of Australia’s cheapest new EV by far, with a starting price below $24,000. The more expensive Premium variant gets more range and quicker acceleration from a larger battery pack, as well as interior upgrades like wireless phone charging.
