General Motors has relaunched their luxury Cadillac brand in Australia, starting with the Lyriq large SUV. The Lyriq is based on GM’s versatile Ultium electric vehicle platform and aims to compete with luxury SUVs from brands such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
Two dual-motor variants featuring identical drivetrain and battery pack are currently available, mainly differentiated by their looks. A much quicker Lyriq-V variant is due to join the lineup in early 2026, offering Cadillac’s blend of luxury and performance.
