Chinese heavy machinery equipment manufacturer Sany continues to demonstrate the rising interest in electric trucks and vehicles, and the sheer scale of the electrification industry in China, shipping 603 electric construction vehicles in August alone.
Writing on their LinkedIn account, Sany revealed that it had shipped 200 electric dump trucks and 403 electric wheel loaders from its factories in China, heading to customers all across the globe.
“Our electric range continues to grow as more customers look for ways to reduce emissions and operate more sustainably,” the company said.
The LinkedIn post doesn’t specify the exact models but based on the vehicles advertised on Sany Northern Europe’s website, they are likely referring to the SW956E wheel loader and one or both of its battery powered mining trucks.
Sany’s two electric mining trucks, the SKT90E and SKT105E are both dump trucks but with different battery capacities – 422 kilowatt-hours (kWh) for the SKT90E and options of 564 kWh or 642 kWh for the SKT105E.
The only heel loader advertised on Sany’s website is the SW956E, powered by a 350 kWh CATL battery and capable of a top speed of 40km/h and boasting an operating mass of 20 tonnes.
