Hyundai Australia has teased its all-new high-performance Ioniq 6 N with advanced aerodynamics and a wider, more sporty stance on the road, more than two years after first announcing pricing and specifications of the electric sedan.
After taking the learnings from the successful Ioniq 5 N SUV, which won multiple awards, the new sedan brings with it multiple innovations and something for performance EV enthusiasts.
The latest teaser images show the sleek look of the upgraded sedan with a high-performance body, ready for road or the track.
With a focus on improving aerodynamics for high-speed handling and a sportier-looking body, the Ioniq 6 has a wider stance and even includes a large wing spoiler to help improve its on-track efficiency.

Back in 2023, when the Ioniq 6 was launched locally, its aerodynamic design featured a very low coefficient of drag at around 0.22, which was lower even than the 2023 Tesla Model 3, which stood at 0.23.
The new spoiler and other additions are likely to improve that even further although it may not be at the levels of the current Tesla Model 3 sedan which has a coefficient of drag that sits at 0.219.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the first sedan from Hyundai and is based on the Electrified-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that is also the basis of the Ioniq 5 SUV and the EV6 from sister company Kia.
This means that the Ioniq 6 can charge from 10-80% in 18 minutes at a 350 kW charger which is still pretty quick until the next-generation 800 V cars arrive at our shores.
The 2025 Ioniq 6 is available locally in three variants with prices ranging from $65,500 all the up to $85,500 before on-roads for the top-trim Epiq variant.Ā
The Ioniq 6 N is expected to be priced over $100,000, in line with the Ioniq 5 N, which currently starts at $111,000 before on-roads.
More details on the exact specifications and local pricing are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
