With the end of the financial year only weeks away, Polestar has announced a series of incentives to help boost sales, including Polestar 2 preconfigured cars priced $8,000 below the standard driveaway prices.
In a recent email, Polestar highlights that pre-configured 2025 Polestar 2 sedans are now available with starting prices of $57,000.
Polestar’s first SUV, the Polestar 3, which was launched in the second half of 2024, sees the long-range dual-motor available with complimentary powertrain and plus pack upgrades.
This offer includes upgrades worth up to $20,000 for customers purchasing it before 30 June 2025.
On the company’s latest model, the Polestar 4, there are also leasing incentives with offers from $249 a week, if leased through a Polestar leasing partner.
Polestar 2 sales have seen a rise over the last couple of months, with May being the best month in 2025 so far, with 82 units being sold.
So far in 2025, the brand has sold 261 cars and is down on the 594 units it sold in the first five months of 2024. That could also be due to it being a newer refreshed model being delivered to customers last year, and fewer choices on the market.
The latest offer is likely to help boost its sales back up as incentives also helped Polestar be the best-selling EV brand in New Zealand during May 2025.
Polestar 3 sales have also been on the increase with May 2025 seeing the best month for the large SUV with 28 sales. Prices of the dual-motor Polestar 3 start at $132,720 before on-roads while the cheaper single-motor variant starts at just shy of $120,000.
In the first five months, that has equated to 71 sales, which is the same as the sales seen across the second half of 2024, which was also it’s first 6 months in the country.
Polestar’s latest car, the Polestar 4 has been selling quite well with 502 sales in the first five months, with May seeing 133 sales – it’s best month so far. This model’s local prices start at $78,500 before on-roads.
The latest leasing incentive should help move more units in June, setting the stage for the second half of this year with increased competition from more brands with premium products coming to market from other brands.
One of these will be the highly anticipated Zeekr 7X, featuring one of the world’s fastest charging batteries. That model from Zeekr will compete closely with the Polestar 3, and if priced right in Australia, could even convince Polestar 4 buyers thanks to the 7X’s handling.
With so many offers available to consumers this June, it’s been one of the best times for drivers across the country to take a cleaner EV for a spin. Many won’t be disappointed with what they find.
