Leading Chinese automaker Geely Auto Group has selected French logistics provider CEVA Logistics as their supplier of Australian logistics and transport following the company’s official launch into the country.
Headquartered in China, Geely is one of the world’s leading automotive companies, boasting not only its own production and Chinese subsidiaries, but a number of famous-named acquisitions including Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus, as well as commercial vehicle manufacturer London EV Company.
Geely made its entry into Australia earlier this month with the launch of its electric SUV, the EX5, which is priced from $40,990 for the entry-level Complete variant, and from $44,990 for the top-trim Inspire variant (all costs before on-roads).
The company followed this announcement a few days later with the revelation that it plans to build a dealership network across the Australian and New Zealand market consisting of over 100 sites over the coming years.
“We are excited to bring models like the EX5 to the market through our newly established dealer network,” Lei Li, the CEO of Geely Auto Australia, said in a statement.
The CEVA Logistics partnership means the Geely EX5 is now available in dealerships for customer enquiries and test drives, with immediate delivery available for EX5 orders.
“We are incredibly excited to officially launch Geely Auto in Australia, offering a flexible mobility model that suits the Australian way of life,” said Li Lei, CEO of Geely Auto Australia.
“The world-class logistics support provided by a leading global partner, CEVA Logistics will be integral to our success here. Their experience in managing complex, multi-regional supply chains make them the ideal freight supplier as we introduce our vehicles to Australian dealer networks and customers.”
