Xpeng, one of the newest EV brands to land in Australia with its sleek electric SUV G6 model, has begun to offer some popular accessories through its online configurator.
Seven new accessories were added to the configurator over the last couple of days, helping owners choose them as part of the ordering process and ensuring a seamless experience with genuine accessories.
On offer is a very popular tow bar option, which the brand says has a 1,500 kg towing capacity for $1,800. This will be available by March 2025.
Official floor mats are also available for $300, along with a trunk mat, sunshade, headrest, neck pillow and air mattress for camping are also offered through the configurator.
The Xpeng G6 is offered in two variants in our local market, starting from $54,800 before on-road costs. The range’s lineup and prices include the Standard Range and the top-spec Long Range, which starts at $59,800 before on-road costs.
These prices include all metallic paints and 20-inch sports wheels, making it one of the most well-equipped standard-range vehicles on the market.
One unique part of the pricing is that Metallic paints are also included in the price of the cars, which is also a bonus for buyers looking at trying out paints such as its iconic Orange.
As of the time of writing, Xpeng is still offering a 10-year complimentary warranty and first-year free servicing as part of a special offer to new customers, which has previously been valued at $5,218.
That warranty is up from the standard 5-year car warranty and 8-year warranty it offers on the battery pack, making it one of the highest warranty terms in the market.
In December, Xpeng officially launched in our market with the opening of its flagship experience centre in Sydney. The store is located in the Sydney Airport precinct and was opened by its local distributor, TrueEV.
The Sydney flagship store is part of a broader network of stores in the country, with more to come. TrueEV has previously said it plans to open another 20 Xpeng locations by the end of 2025.
Last week, Australian Olympic diver Sam Fricker was announced as Xpeng Australia’s first brand ambassador, as the brand aims to up its marketing efforts in what’s shaping to be a highly competitive market.
The latest accessories update will help buyers with a more seamless experience when purchasing a G6 in a growingly competitive market. With customer deliveries well underway, we will undoubtedly see more Xpeng vehicles on the road as the brand aims to grow in Australia during 2025 and in the years to come.
