Xpeng, one of the newest EV brands to land in Australia has officially launched in our market with the opening of its flagship experience centre in Sydney.
Located in the Sydney Airport precinct, the brand’s flagship experience centre was previewed to media and guests by its local distributor, TrueEV on Monday evening.
As part of the launch event, representatives from the Chinese brand were also in attendance as the company’s first locally delivered model was officially unveiled in a showroom setting in our market.
On show at the event, multiple G6 vehicles were displayed along with the Xpeng X9, G9, P7 and the flying car.
The Xpeng G6 electric SUV and other models have been on show at a few motor shows across the country in recent months, but not in an official showroom.
With a price starting at under $55,000 before on-roads, the G6 is packed with tech and offers quite a bit of space in the cabin. Metallic paints are also included in the price of the cars, which is also a bonus for buyers looking at trying out paints such as it’s iconic Orange.
“We are excited to announce that our Sydney Flagship Experience Centre opens on 18 December 2024 at 9am,” the distributor said.
The experience centre is located at 2 Sir Reginald Ansett Drive in Mascot and us opened from 9am – 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
The new experience centre around christmas and new year public holidays is also expected to be closed on those dates so worth checking with the local team for those planning on visiting around those times.
Across Australia, Xpeng’s local distributor aims to open multiple new showrooms in the coming months including sites in NSW, Victoria and other parts of the country.
These are on top of the Sydney flagship store and include Wollongong, NSW, Port Melbourne and North Coburg in Victoria. TrueEV also plans to open another 20 Xpeng locations by the end of 2025.
This is a great start for Xpeng’s local operations as the company plans to launch multiple new models in 2025. Interested drivers can take a G6 for a test drive at multiple test drive locations with more locations opening soon.

It's the Mona M03 at $29,990 DA I'm waiting for.
I'm interested in the G9, if priced right 💲, and maybe the X9 people mover.
Xpeng is on the front foot to take sales away from Legacy Auto.
Wondering how you build the Coburg store on top of the Sydney store?
Take that Tesla. We’ve got a flying car!
I would love to run the Melbourne branch with over 20 years experience in the automotive industry
You failed to mention the hundreds of Australians who have placed orders and are still waiting after 3+ moths with zero communication.
Really? Cancel the order and take your money elsewhere.
Wonder if they can ever get permission to do test flights in the flying car. Would make for a great news story
