Tesla has announced a new round of incentives in two of the biggest markets, as it continues to offer a range of incentives in Australia in a bid to boost flagging sales.
The worldās leading electric car maker says is reducing the price of its cars by thousands of dollar in a bid to surpass its 1.81 million sales target from last year.
In China, Tesla has reduced the prices of its Model Y by the equivalent of more than $A2,000 and offered a 5-year interest free deal to entice new customers to purchase Chinaās best-selling electric car.
Those looking at getting a Model 3 sedan can also receive the 5-year interest free offer if they take deliveries of their cars in 2024.
Ā Tesla has sold over 500,000 electric cars in China over the first 10 months of this year, making it one of the most popular EV-only brand in the country.

In the US, the brandās home market, Tesla is offering up to $2,000 off the price of a new car, supercharging or other services requiring payments to Tesla when using a referral code from an existing Tesla owner.
The referrer also gets $1,000 to be used in Teslaās ecosystem to buy accessories, supercharging and much more. This news was shared by Tesla enthusiast Sawyer Merritt on X.
On top of this, Tesla is running a few other campaigns to incentivise perspective buyers which range from 3 months of FSD software to free paint options on Model 3 Performance variants when purchasing FSD with the vehicle.
There are also special discounts of $1,000 per vehicle to members of the military and their spouses which applies to all models including the Cybertruck. This can be applied to any number of vehicles as no limits apply to this incentive.
The price cut in the US is interesting given the proposed removal of EV rebates by president elect Donald Trump, a move apparently supported by Tesla boss Elon Musk, a Trump supporter and co-head of his new program to slash government spending.

In markets like Europe, Tesla is also pulling demand levers like free supercharging to help it deliver more Model Ys before the end of the year, and ahead of the expected launch of the refreshed model in 2025.
Here in Australia, there is also a big push by Tesla to arrest its slumping sales – down 20 per cent so far in 2024 over 2023 – with multiple offers in place to help more buyers get behind the wheel of a Tesla within 2024.
These range from leasing benefits to referral programs that will help thousands more drivers get behind the wheel of Australiaās best-selling EVs in 2024.
