Zeekr, one of the newest EV brands to enter Australia, has revealed the pricing of its second Australian-bound EV, a luxury people mover, the Zeekr 009, one of the first of its type on the market.
Starting at $135,900 with the base variant, which comes in a 7-seat configuration, it comes with various features not seen at this price point. There is also a 6-seater variant with 3 rows of two seats at a starting price of $139,900 before on-roads.
The 009 will be available in a 7-seat or an exclusive 6-seat configuration and will be powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain, with 450 kW of power.
The 116 kWh battery pack is one of the largest in any vehicle in Australia. It will deliver a WLTP range of 582kms, and efficiency of 19.5kWh per 100km on the NEDC scale.
It also utilizes Zeekr’s 800 V SEA architecture, ensuring fast charging speeds of up to 205 kW at the right DC charger.
AC charging is also available with 11 kW on both variants, helping top the battery up from empty to full in about 13.5 hours.
Vehicle-to-load feature of up to 3.3 kW is available, making it a great vehicle for when taking the 009 on roadtrips and camping.
Given the luxury segment this EV will be catering for, some key features it packs include:
On the exterior colours, the 009 will be available in five colours which include Crystal White, Grey Purple, Mineral Green, Electric Blue and Phantom Black.
On the interior, there are four options including Stone Black, Stone Grey & Polar White, Midnight Blue & Polar White and Jade Green.
A 5-year unlimited km warranty is available on this luxury MPV along with a 8-year 160,000 km warranty on the large 116 kWh battery pack.
Servicing will include a 2 year/40,000 km schedule as well as 5 year roadside assistance and 5 year of connectivity.
The Zeekr 009 has been showcased at several shows recently, starting with the SXSW, Mobility Live and most recently, the Sydney International EV show which was held over the weekend.
At SXSW, people could experience the 009 being driven around on a test track located on the ICC rooftop.
Zeekr’s first EV in the market has been the Zeekr X. It was unveiled in Australia back in August with a pitched price point of $60,000, and came in lower than expected with the entry-level model starting at $56,990 before on-roads and the dual-motor variant at $64,900 before on-roads.
Deliveries of the new Zeekr X have begun in some parts of Australia, and we are likely to see Zeekr 009 deliveries in the coming months which truly sets a benchmark for luxurious electric people mover segment, helping drive sales from its ICE competitors.
