Xpeng, one of the new EV brands in Australia, is now offering a 10-year complimentary warranty and first year free servicing as part of a special offer to new customers, which is valued at $5,218.Ā

This is up from the standard 5-year car warranty and 8-year warranty it offers on the battery pack.

On Xpeng’s Australian online configurator, those placing an order for a G6 are offered a ā€œComplimentary Extended Warrantyā€ as they configure the specs of their vehicle.

Under this extended warranty offer Xpeng states: ā€œComplimentary bonus 2 years battery warranty and 5 year vehicle warranty to total 10 years of each.ā€

The extended warranty has a combined value of over $5,000 which includes 5-year extended warranty on the car. This component comes is priced from $2,990 and brings the car’s warranty to 10 years.

The battery warranty can also be upped from 8 to 10 years for an additional $1,990. This is also included and forms the second component of this offer to new customers.

On top of that, Xpeng is offering first-year free servicing which is valued at $238 to sweeten the deal for those early customers to the brand in Australia.

Previously or those Xpeng order holders who ordered the G6 before 31 October, a free home wall charger was provided with installation. That was through a partnership with leading EV-charging company, EVSE Australia.Ā

This latest offer applies to customers who place an order before the 31st December 2024.

Back in September, Xpeng through its local distributor True EV, confirmed the pricing of its first electric car model that it will bring to Australia, the sleek G6 electric SUV.

The G6 is offered in two variants, starting from $54,800 before on-road costs while the long-range variant starts at $59,800 before on-road costs.

These prices include all metallic paints and 20-inch sports wheels, making it one of the most well-equipped standard vehicles on the market.

At this starting price, it comes under Australia’s best-selling EV, the Tesla Model Y, making it an attractive alternative for those looking at a mid-sized SUV.

With competition in this segment only increasing with the launch of the similarly priced Deepal S07 in recent weeks, customers are gravitating towards electric SUVs that offer great value.

The latest warranty offer from Xpeng seems quite unique to help buyers when purchasing a G6 in an ever-competitive market. It will help the brand get a strong foothold in the coming months as it aims to deliver thousands of its first and subsequent models.
