Three different Zeekr EV models land ahead of Australian electric car show

Zeekr, a premium EV brand that officially launched in Australia last month, is expected to showcase at least three new electric models at an upcoming EV show in Sydney.

Multiple pictures of the new high-performance Zeekr EV models were shared by Biscoff and reshared by Tom from Ludicrous Feed on X.

In the shared photos, three cars can be spotted, including the upcoming Zeekr 009 people mover along with two models that have not been released in Australia. They include the Zeekr 007 sedan and the Zeekr 001 shooting brake.

The Zeekr 007 spotted is in bright yellow, with yellow additions on the alloy wheels of the car. At the front of the car, the unique lighting system is also spotted with a black tint to the headlights.

Finally, there is a white Zeekr 001 –  Zeekr’s answer to a hypercar with over 1,200 horsepower thanks to its quad-motor powertrain and an F1 driver-inspired track mode.

These quad-motors produce 930 kW and can help the Zeekr 001 FR sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.07 seconds.

The motors are powered by a 100 kWh battery pack developed by CATL which, at the right high-powered charger, can be charged from 10-80% in 15 minutes.

The company’s local arm has previously stated that the launch of Zeekr X, 009 and the 7X electric SUV are the brand’s expected lineup, which will be available by 2025.

The Zeekr 7X, which is the brand’s most recent car, shares the brand’s latest technology, which is also found in the company’s flagship sedan, the spotted Zeekr 007.

The new Zeekr 7X’s LFP battery pack has been developed by Zeekr engineers in-house and has the world’s fastest charging capabilities, charging from 10-80% in just 10 minutes.

That’s thanks to the 800 Volt electrical system architecture. This is nearly twice as fast as some other fast-charging SUVs in the Australian market today.

Given the latest EV technology making its way to Australian shores so quickly after launching in China, these vehicles are bound to get quite a bit of attention at the show. They are also going to give a glimpse into what EV tech is to follow from Zeekr.

The Zeekr X, 001 FR, 007, along with the Zeekr X, which is the brand’s first model in the Australian market, will be on show at the upcoming Sydney EV show, which opens its doors this Friday and runs through until Sunday.
