Earlier this month, Tesla finally unveiled the prototype of its Robotaxi, which it calls the Cybercab, which has no steering wheels or pedals.
The unveiling was held at Warner Bros studios in California, but at night. Now, Tesla has publicly showcased the Cybercab at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, over the weekend at a family-friendly event that it dubbed the āFrunk or Treatā event.
An experienced local drone pilot of the factory and its surroundings, Joe Tegtmeyer, reshared photos from the event where one of the gold Cybercab prototypes was there for the public to see.

With both doors swung open, visitors could get a glimpse of the Cybercab – albeit from a short distance – that was parked under a Tesla-branded gazebo.
On the inside, the two seats with the armrest can be seen, with not much else spotted in the cabin.
Another angle of the side showcases the largest screen in any Tesla which is expected to be over 20-inch in size.

From the front, a dual light bar is seen going along the vehicle’s width, and the slimmer headlights are also spotted within the light bar pattern.
During the day, itās easier to see how much lower the front end of the vehicle sits compared to the Tesla Model 3. The bonnet design ensures that the front scoops down sharply, giving it a more aerodynamic look.
Moving onto the rear, which can also be seen to have a sharp slope to the full-width tail light bar.

This tail light bar design is expected to be transferred over to the upcoming Model Y with a leaked photo hinting it to be incorporated into the refreshed version.
The Tesla Cybercab is expected to be offered with wireless charging for autonomous charging in between delivering passenger rides.
In a recent video teaser, Tesla showcased the vehicle charging wirelessly at speeds of up to 25 kW with an overall battery capacity of around 40 kWh.
The two-seater model is expected to be in production by 2026 at price point of around $US30,000.
Seeing it in daylight does give a better look at what it could be like on the roads when it arrives in a few years time.
In the meantime, Tesla’s focus will be on the updated Model Y and the affordable model, expecting to land in the next 6-8 months.
