Tesla has launched a new set of incentives to help boost sales in the last quarter of 2024. The first main incentive offered is the re-introduction of the company’s referral program, which provides referral credits for both referrers and referees.
As part of the latest program on offer:
According to the Tesla app, the new program is listed as “Earn $350 in Tesla Credits by Giving Anyone $700 Off a New Tesla”.
The referrer can receive benefits for up to 10 times every calendar year when their link is used to purchase a qualifying Tesla product.
These $350 Tesla Credits can be used towards:
The re-introduction of the referral program is a good step to help increase sales in the last quarter of 2024 after the program was put on hiatus earlier this year.
Earlier this year, Tesla owners received an update in the Tesla app which was titled “Referral Benefits Ending on 30 April 2024”.
Since the end of April, Tesla took the referral program down in many parts of the world to simplify the scheme.
On top of this program, Tesla is currently offering a 2.99% p.a Interest Rate or a 3.99 p.a. Comparison Rate on select inventory Model Y vehicles.
This incentive also lasts the quarter by ending on 31 December 2024 and is currently on Tesla Australia’s homepage.
At the time of writing this article, there was plenty of Model Y stock across the country, including some of the more vibrant colours Tesla launched in 2024. That’s Quicksilver and Ultra Red on Australia’s best-selling electric SUV.
The latest update to the referral program and the low interest rate offer on inventory Model Y vehicles will be welcomed by many drivers looking at making the switch to an EV or upgrading.
With Q4 looking like the most competitive for EV models, with multiple new brands and cars landing down under, these incentives will help keep the demand high for Tesla’s models. That’s what’s needed if the company is to surpass its 2023 sales of 1.8 million cars in 2024.
