Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar is adding its second Australian retail ‘Space’ in the suburb of Artarmon on Sydney’s iconic Lower North Shore ahead of the release of two new electric models later this year.

Polestar, jointly owned by Volvo Cars and parent company Geely, launched the Polestar 2 electric fastback in Australia in early 2022, before opening later in the year its first retail showroom in Chadstone, in Melbourne’s inner-east.

The launch of the company’s new retail showroom – or a ‘Space’, in the Polestar vernacular – marks the company’s second flagship retail concept in Australia.

“The second half of 2024 is shaping up as an incredibly exciting time for Polestar in Australia,” said Scott Maynard, head of Polestar Australia.

“Firstly, we are growing from a one-car to three-car company, with the spirited Polestar 3 SUV and Polestar 4 SUV Coupé joining the Polestar 2 fastback. In addition, we’re opening a flagship retail Space for Sydney which expands our retail presence in Australia’s most populous city.

“To have the timing align like this gives Polestar Australia huge momentum and a fantastic platform for growth for the rest of 2024 and beyond.”

Visitors to the Polestar Sydney Space will be able to take a test drive of both the Polestar 2 Fastback and Polestar 3 performance SUV, as well as the Polestar 4 Coupé later this year.

Located on the Pacific Highway, the Polestar Space will also boast a new vehicle preparation centre on the first floor, basement parking for visitors, and will also now be home to the local Australian head office, which is being relocated from North Ryde to the second floor of the new Polestar Sydney Space.
