Zeekr, a new premium Chinese EV brand that is due to enter the Australian market soon with two electric vehicle offerings, has just teased another electric SUV that’s also aimed at international markets.
The Zeekr 7X is a new large SUV that’s just had its official images released, and it shows a sleek exterior with bold styling at the front and the rear.

Interestingly, the photo of the rear was showcased by Zeekr Australia’s LinkedIn page, with a caption “A new star is born,” hinting that the model could be on the cards for the Australian market after the company launches its Zeekr X and 009 models in the coming months.
This is a very important model for Zeekr’s expansion into global markets like Australia, given that over 50 per cent of local drivers opted for a new SUV in 2023.
Zeekr is entering the Australian market in the coming months with a compact electric SUV, the Zeekr X, which will be on display to the public at the upcoming Melbourne electric SUV show in August.
Following that, the company will be launching its luxurious 009 people mover, which we got to experience first hand last month in China.
Both of these EVs form part of an onslaught of EVs from China that will be targeting the premium electric car segment locally.
From the front the car’s headlights give it a distinct look that is different from those slimmer lights seen on the Zeekr X.
At the rear the light bar extends from one side of the car to the other. The light itself is wider than those found on similar SUVs and appears to blend with the curves of the tailgate.
The side angle reveals the flush door handles along with the gradual slope of the roof.
Dimension-wise, the new 7X SUV will be over 4,825 mm in length, making it longer than Australia’s best selling EV, the Model Y.
This model will be available with a single rear mounted motor, producing up to 310 kW of power.
An all-wheel-drive variant adds a front motor to this setup, producing a total of up to 470 kW, making the 7X one of the most powerful SUVs in its class.
Other details that were found in regulatory submission for the model in China highlight that the top-speed of the SUV is over 200 km/h, peaking at 210 km/h.
That’s expected with such a powerful drivetrain setup for both single and dual motor options.
On the battery front, the capacities are not yet known but they would be a combination of LFP and ternary Lithium batteries.
It’s also expected that the 7X will feature an 800-Volt architecture, supporting high speed fast charging, although full details are yet to be released.
