Segway, one of the world’s most prominent manufacturers of micro-mobility solutions, has unveiled a new range of three electric scooters which will be available in Australia from August.

Billed as an e-Motorbike range but looking more like a traditional electric scooter, the new models from Segway-Ninebot includes the flagship E300SE e-Motorbike and two so-called “Everyday Rides”, the E125S and E110S.

The E300SE e-Motorbike is equipped with a 10kW motor and two 2000WH removable batteries with support for an additional third battery, with charging time of 4.5 hours to 80 per cent and 5.5 hours to 100 per cent.

Capable of reaching maximum speed of 105km/h and accelerating from 0 to 50km/h in just 2.9 seconds, the E300SE offers a typical range of 130km and will cost only $8,990 at launch.

A host of additional features are included with the flagship model, such as the Segway-Ninebot app which allows for remote on and off, lock and unlock, tracking, and vehicle performance analysis. Safety features include dual-channel ABS and EABS.

The E125S and E110S, which will retail for $6,990 and $4,990, respectively, each boast representative performance.

The pricier E125S comes with dual removable battery and a 3.5kW motor and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 45km/h with a range of 108km and charging time of 2.4 hours to 80% and 4 hours to 100%.

Meanwhile, the E110S is equipped with a 1.8kW motor delivering a typical range of 57km and charging time of 3 hours to 80% and 4 hours to 100%.

Both the E125S and E110S feature extra-large and extended seat cushions perfect for two as well as a large storage seat bucket, while safety features include dual-channel braking combined with EABS and Smart Connectivity features accessed through the Segway-Ninebot app.

All pricing for the three models is billed as an “introductory offer” but is nevertheless ride away and includes on-road costs, while all three e-Motorbikes are learner and provisional rider approved.

Currently available for pre-order and test ride in certain locations (see below), Segway-Ninebot expect delivery to begin in August.
