New 2025 Tesla Model Y spotted for first time

The new refreshed version of the world’s most popular electric vehicle, the Tesla Model Y, has been sited for the first time, nearly a year after the updated version of its stablemate, the Model 3, was finally released.

An EV spotter, JacklJack, on Reddit, shared an image of a black Tesla Model Y, parked on the side of the road in California.

“Running around rose bowl today and saw a masked Model Y parking nearby,” he wrote. “Looks like the front is just as same shape as highland.”

The spotted Model Y had its front and rear bumpers covered, making it hard to spot anything underneath it.

According to user JacklJack, who took the photo, even the interior of this Model Y was covered: “I did a quick look inside, everything is covered.”

This is similar to the Model 3 refresh sightings from 2023 where the interior including the screen was entirely covered to keep things under wraps until the official unveil.

The new sighting comes only weeks after the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, confirmed that there won’t be a refresh of the Model Y in 2024. But it is likely to occur in 2025.

The new Model 3 sees many new changes and according to some in the industry, is now the benchmark when it comes to EV comfort and efficiency.

It offers new heated and ventilated seats, upgraded cameras, better range and just an overall superior level of refinement compared to its predecessor.

With the focus now shifting to other products, it’s good to see Tesla continuing to work to bring the refreshed Model Y to more customers.

After all, it could help elevate the world’s best-selling car to another level, attracting tens of thousands of eagerly waiting new customers to the brand.
