Maserati plans to be an all-electric marque by 2030, and are currently sell three full battery electric vehicles (BEV) under the Folgore moniker – the GranCabrio convertible, the GranTurismo two door coupe and the Grecale four door SUV.

In an interesting twist – Maserati have just added a fourth vehicle to their all-electric range, but it’s one without wheels!

Developed and built in conjunction with EV marine business VitaPower, Maserati are now offering a 10.5 metre carbon fibre hull, all-electric powerboat.

Called the Tridente, it is built for lake and coastal day cruising. Driven by twin electric motors with peak power of 600HP and a battery capacity of 252 kWh, it can cruise at 25 knots with a top speed of 40 knots and recharge in under one hour on a DC fast-charger. Range is quoted as ‘up to 70km’ on one charge.

The Tridente can accommodate up to 10 people (including the driver). The cockpit can be configured for dining or acceleration. Passengers can relax on a sundeck alongside a bathing area with a shower and ladder for swimming. An enclosed cabin forward includes a day berth and toilet.

Such luxury does not come cheap though: priced at €2,500,000 (jut over Au$4,000,000). European and US orders can be placed now, with a ten month wait time before delivery.
