Tesla has been focusing on ramping up the production of its passenger vehicles over the past couple of years. This includes manufacturing and delivering battery packs in its Nevada factory to Fremont on the back of trucks with semi-trailers.
Now the company has shown that its all-electric Tesla Semi fleet has been transporting some of these battery packs to the car factory in California.Ā
Tesla shared the update on X in a short video showcasing a fleet of 6 Tesla Semis hauling trailers with battery packs through windy roads. The short video was recorded on a drone that shows these vehicles travelling in a convoy.

The Tesla Semi sightings and promotional activities have increased significantly in recent months.Ā
Another video was reshared by the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley showing a Tesla Semi delivering 5 refreshed Tesla Model 3s in Ultra Red as a car transporter.
The truck was leaving the Fremont factory, possibly heading to local showrooms for customer deliveries.

Tesla Semi was also recently showcased at the Ride and Drive for Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in May with attendees getting to experience the Semi in person.
This is one of the first times the public could see the truck and experience the revolutionary technology that has gone into the engineering and production of this vehicle.
There has also been an increase in sales to early Tesla Semi customers like PepsiCo. After taking deliveries of the Tesla Semi in late 2022, the company announced in May 2024 that they had taken new deliveries of the all-electric truck.Ā
This initiative was taken to more than double its fleet to 50 operating out of its manufacturing and distribution facility in Fresno, California.
Last month also saw the sighting of Tesla Semi being used by Walmart and retail store giant Costco, fuelling expectation that Tesla is finally gearing up for mass-produce of the Semi as it fulfills orders from many of its order holders who have been waiting since late 2017.
This is a significant milestone for a product in an industry that has previously hinted using hydrogen as a fuel source before considering the advantages that pure battery electric vehicles bring to the transport sector.Ā
