Brisbane based electric vehicle (EV) energy management and AC charging start-up Evos has unveiled a new all-in-one hardware and software platform designed to help businesses quickly transition to electrified transport and manage their charging needs.

Founded in 2020, Evos designs and manufactures EV charging technology and services, and has unveiled its new all-in-one Evos-Fleet solution combining AC charging hardware with the company’s energy platform.

Evos-Fleet combines any of the company’s AC charging hardware currently available or “soon-to-be-developed” with its energy platform to help simplify the charging process and allow businesses to better manage their fleet energy costs.

Collecting energy data from the electric vehicle, charger, and the grid, Evos’ energy platform is able to make real-time and intelligent energy decisions to help reduce the cost of power infrastructure and the running cost of electricity.

The platform incorporates all aspects of the site’s electricity and charging infrastructure into a simple solution allowing businesses to report on the cost of EVs, charger utilisation, and carbon savings, while also providing simple management of its charging assets.

“Our goal at Evos is to tackle the hardest and biggest problem for business and fleets transitioning to EVs, which isn’t the vehicles, payments or drivers, but energy,” said Marcelo Salgado, Evos CEO.

“Because upgrading electrical capacity to any building is expensive and can take a long time, our Evos-Fleet solution allows businesses to install more EV charging stations that intelligently share existing power between them, thereby helping businesses avoid costly upgrades to their building or site.

“Our platform can manage the individual power output of each charging station to ensure the maximum load set for a site is considered and, importantly, is never exceeded.

“But more than that, it helps drivers and business owners alike understand energy, how they use their vehicles, when to charge and more – all within one platform.”

The Evos energy management system can also be configured with a number of different tools to help businesses optimise costs and energy usage. For example, Evos’ Dynamic Energy Balancing System (DEB) allows an organisation to install a large number of charging stations to the EV power circuit without necessarily increasing the electrical capacity.
