On Thursday Evie announced it was offering customers a 30% discount on charging until 10pmon  Thursday night across its national network after a short outage earlier that day.

“This morning, our network experienced unscheduled changes by a software partner, affecting a total of 65 Evie-owned chargers across various locations. We immediately detected the fault and took prompt action to resolve the issue by 11:30 am AEDT.” said Evie in statement.

Polestar offers optional Evnex smart charger with new purchases

As an option to the offer, New Polestar 2 customers can instead opt for an Evnex E2 home charger installation worth $2,750.

The Evnex charger enables EV owners to charge their vehicle when the grid is at it’s cleanest. The E2 charger monitors Australian energy tariffs and uses open-source grid data to present users with a real-time picture of the types of energy being fed into their vehicle.

The app also provides the user with charging costs, range added and total carbon use for each charging session.
