Cyber Thursday: Tesla releases details of Cybertruck final reveal and pricing

It’s been four years since Tesla showcased the Cybertruck to the world. At that time, the unique design of the utilitarian captured the interest of hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

Now, Tesla has confirmed the official details of the delivery event which will be held this week on Twitter/X, the social media platform owned by CEO Elon Musk.

Tesla will be holding the delivery event 2 pm (CT) on November 30 in the US, or “Cyber Thursday” as Tesla described it this week. That translates into a time of 7am (AEDT) on Friday morning for Australia. It will be streamed live on X.

In recent days, things have been moving fairly quickly for Tesla as the company plans to prepare for the delivery event.

Drone footage around Tesla’s GigaTexas factory in Austin, where the Cybertruck will be produced, shows a fleet of 25 Cybertrucks parked at various locations around the factory.

It was captured and shared on X by drone pilot Jeff Roberts who often captures footage around this facility.

This is the most amount of Cybertrucks spotted in a single location so far. The largest sightings  previously were on transporter trucks that have been delivering these vehicles for testing and to showrooms.

Tesla has been transporting the Cybertrucks to various showroom locations across US and Canada in time for the crowds in shopping centres for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

With the delivery event of the Cybertruck only days away, Tesla is pulling all stops to ensure that the product lives up to the hype. This included teasing some of the specs in a banner ad.

Five features of the Cybertruck were highlighted that include:

  • Ultra-hard stainless steel exoskeleton
  • Shatter-resistant glass
  • Ultra-tough SMC bed, up to 2,500 lb. payload
  • Adaptive air suspension with on-road and off-road drive modes
  • 11,000 lbs of towing power

These specs have been released in the absence of actual pricing and specifications. Full specifications and pricing are expected to be revealed at the delivery event on Friday morning local time.
