Audi has confirmed that it will bring its newly upgraded Q4 e-tron to the Australian market in 2024 as it expends its EV offerings to the local market and taps into the growing hunger for electric SUVs.

According to Audi, the compact SUV segment of vehicles is growing quickly and the Q4 forms part of this shift towards electrification. The Q4 -tron will be available in two body types which include the SUV and the slightly more aerodynamic Sportback.

This Q4 e-tron was first revealed to the market in Europe back in 2019 and was sized similarly to the Q3 ICE SUV which comes in a 4,484 mm in length.

The current model of Audi Q4 e-Tron is already available in New Zealand, which generally gets EVs before they become available in Australia, thanks to its friendlier EV policies and its vehicle emissions standards.

The Q4 e-tron SUV is fed by a 76.6 kWh battery pack that can deliver up to 528 km of range. With 220 kW of power available, it can propel from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.

Earlier this month, Audi Australia announced the pricing of the upcoming larger Q8 e-tron electric SUV – starting at $154,000 before on-roads. That’s expected to arrive locally in Q4 2023.

As of now, prospective customers can register their interest in the Q4 e-tron with Audi online.
