Evie Networks, Australia’s largest ultra-fast charging network, has unveiled a new and simplified app, designed from the bottom up to make charging simpler for its customers.
Billed as the launch of Evie’s “own independent charging app”, the company says the app is the result of extensive testing with a group of EV drivers.
Available in the Apple App and Google Play stores under the search “Evie Charging (New)” or by visiting https://goevie.page.link/app, the new app provides an instant snapshot of nearby charging locations and availability the moment you open the app.
Users will be able to quickly and easily identify available charging stations across Australia and plan their routes accordingly.
Evie says it will take only two taps to get ready to charge by opening the app, select an available plug, and tap “start charging”. There is no longer any need to scan QR codes – with ‘location services’ enabled, when arriving at a charging location a site will automatically open in the app. This will save time.
The app also depicts charging progress in real time including state of charge, elapsed charging minutes, and kWh delivered. The app also allows users to filter by plug type so that you only see chargers that you can use.
Evie also offers Evie Pass, an RFID card linked to your app account which enables you to begin charging by tapping the RFID card directly on the charger.
