Evie jacks up EV charging prices due to rising cost of energy

Australian electric vehicle (EV) charging network Evie has raised prices on both its 50kW and 350kW chargers by around 10%.

Evie, Australia’s largest ultra-fast charging network, emailed its customers late last week to inform them that, effective July 10, prices for 50kW public fast chargers would increase from $0.45c per kWh to $0.50c per kWh, and prices for 350kW chargers would increase from $0.60c per kWh to $0.65 per kWh.

This translates out to an increase of around 10% and Evie says it takes into account the “rising cost of energy and the costs of providing electricity” to these chargers.

This adjustment will enable us to continue to invest in operating and growing our network.”

Evie said it has over 130 sites live across Australia and plans to continue expansion. All are powered with 100% renewable energy that is either generated onsite or sourced through the procurement of Green Certificates.
