Ford Australia has revealed the pricing of the much anticipated Mustang Mach-E electric car which opens for orders on Wednesday afternoon: The company’s first electric offering in Australia will start at $79,990 before on-roads for the entry-level Select variant.Ā
The Premium variant will start at $92,990 before on-roads. The top-of-the-range GT will be priced at $108,990. Premium point jobs are extra.
Andrew Birkic, the president and CEO of Ford Australia and New Zealand, said the company has seen strong demand for the Mach-E, which has been one of the best selling EVs in its home market in the US.
āWeāve had a brilliant response to Mustang Mach-E since we confirmed it for Australia a few weeks ago, and canāt wait to give customers the chance to get behind the wheel later this year,ā he said in a statement.
The Mustang Mach-E will also have the FordPass App which will work with the built-in satellite navigation system for trip planning.Ā
Along with that, the FordPass App will allow Mach-E owners to access:
- Battery Charge Level
- Distance to Empty (km)
- Nearby Chargers
- Charge Settings: allowing customers to set up preferred Charge Times and add Departure Times
- Charge Logs
This connectedness will help owners to monitor metrics that matter to EV drivers.

Online reservations set to open at 2pm AEST on Wednesday, a significant shift away from the traditional dealer model.
āMustang Mach-E represents a shift from the traditional and will appeal to a wide range of buyers,” saidĀ Danni Winter, the marketing director at Ford Australia.
“This is why weāve made the decision to offer customers the chance to reserve their vehicle online. Itās a natural part of our digital evolution and allows our customers to shop with their Authorised Ford EV Dealer 24/7.ā

In order to purchase a Mach-E, customers will need to access Ford Australiaās Mach-E online reservation portal which will lead them to select the vehicle and any options before paying a reservation fee of $1,000.
The Mustang Mach-E is the start of five electric vehicles Ford Australia plans to bring by the end of next year. The Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to arrive at Fordās local dealers later this year.
