The new Tesla Model S has scored the highest overall safety score of any vehicle ever tested by Euro NCAP under the new stricter testing 2022 protocol.

The test was conducted on a red left-hand drive Model S which Tesla later reshared the video on their official Tesla Twitter page.

The Tesla Model S received scored very highly for all 4 key areas. The awarded results from Euro NCAP were:

  • 98% for Safety Assist features
  • 94% for Adult Occupant protection
  • 91% for Child Occupant protection
  • 85% for Vulnerable Road User protection

The latest safety rating award comes after the first few new yoke-steering equipped 2022 Tesla Model S vehicles have been spotted in Europe.

In Australia, Tesla is yet to deliver any new Model S vehicles but hundreds of order holders can be assured that when it does arrive, it’ll be one of the safest cars on the road.

We expect the updated Tesla Model S and Model X in the right-hand drive configuration to arrive in Australia by late 2023.
