As many EV and Tesla owners know, efficient use of energy to create more range is a big part of the EV ownership experience.Ā

Tesla has now made that ownership experience even better by providing in-car tips on how Tesla EV owners can drive and use the car more efficiently.Ā

The updated energy app within Tesla EVs is now rolling out globally via an OTA (Over the Air) update.

The in-car energy app now allows you to compare real energy use and projected range and now breaks it down further for powertrain, climate control, battery conditioning and everything else.

With the breakdown now, there are additional tips to provide a more efficient driving experience and help drivers better understand their driving and energy usage behaviours.Ā

These tips will also help new EV owners have a better understanding of the different energy systems that their EV has and may even reduce the EV learning curve, for some.

A good local demonstration and walk-through of the most recent update were covered by Tom on the Ludicrous Feed YouTube channel as part of Tesla’s Software Update 2022.36.2.

Tesla’s new in-car energy app can also show energy consumed by other vehicle monitoring systems like the sentry mode and screen on time. In the long run, these features will help many owners in Australia get the most out of their Tesla and EV ownership experience.
