The Driven and EV solutions provider Jetcharge have launched a new survey to find out about how electric car owners use and charge their vehicles, and what non-EV owners think about electric cars.

The survey comes as we approach a tipping point in the uptake of electric vehicles, one that will certainly be amplified if Labor win the election, given their policy assumptions that nine out of 10 new cars sold in 2030 will be electric.

Australia, even with only two per cent of its new car sales being electric, is struggling to catch up with the needed charging infrastructure. So it’s become increasingly important to know and understand more about how electric vehicles will integrate into our lives.

How this will happen will have broad impacts on driving and electricity usage behaviours. Will you top up once a week at the local fast charger? Or will you plug in overnight at home, taking advantage of low tariffs? Or both? If you are charging at home, do you have solar, and will you invest in a battery?

It’s an exciting time, and one you can be a part of. So please go to the survey that you can find here. Consider sharing to family and friends also. It just takes a few minutes, and you are not required to provide personal details.
