The 2022 MG ZS EV gets a facelift and a new variant.
MG has recorded an impressive 383% increase in sales in the UK for the month of November, as the new ZS EV model arrived across its dealer network and it boasted the highest ratio of battery-electric vehicle offerings of any major manufacturer selling a mix of traditional and alternative fuel cars.
Of the six models MG currently offers in the UK, three are plug-in cars – the New MG ZS EV, the New MG5 EV, and MG HS Plug-in Hybrid.
During November, MG recorded record sales of 4,184, the highest growth of any brand in the country’s top 27 car manufacturers, taking its year-to-date sales in the UK up by 73.4%, year-on-year, and expected to beat its 2021 sales target of 30,000 new cars with weeks to spare.
“November 2021 saw an astonishing set of new records for MG Motor UK,” said Guy Pigounakis, MG Motor UK commercial director.
“Our EV performance is especially strong thanks to launch demand for the new ZS EV and MG5 EV models, which have really captured the imagination of electric car buyers.”
The MG ZS EV is also making waves here in Australia, thanks to its (relatively) low price of $44,990 driveway, making it Australia’s most affordable EV. For the full rundown on The Driven’s experience with the MG ZS EV, check out Bridie Schmidt’s review here.
