Electric Custom Denning buses spotted trialling in Sydney

The first fully electric buses from Custom Denning have been spotted operating in Sydney, having commenced trials on Friday.

Snapped driving along a Sydney road by EV owner SydEV, this Custom Denning electric bus is just one of many that will soon be ensuring Sydneysiders can benefit from less pollution and carbon emissions thanks to the zero-emissions operation.

It’s being operated by Busways, which operates in Western Sydney.

A post on LinkedIn by ComfortDelGro (CDC) also flagged the start of trials in northern Sydney also.

Drivers at Forest Coach Lines are trialling the Custom Denning Element electric bus, which is built in New South Wales from chassis to body,” the company wrote.

“It uses cutting-edge regeneration technology, so batteries are continually charged through the inertia of the electric motor and while under braking.”
