Harley-Davidson S1 Series eBike Mosh/Tribute
Harley-Davidson’s e-bicycle brand Serial 1 has released a limited edition design inspired by the look of a vintage motorcycle.
The Mosh/Tribute design is based on Harley-Davidson’s first ebike prototype, which kick-started its Serial 1 brand. Serial 1 aims to create “exclusive and highly-desirable” ebike models.
Brand director Aaron Frank said the limited edition Mosh/Tribute “captures the iconic look and feel of that first prototype”.
Only 650 of the Mosh/Tribute ebikes will be made for the US and European markets.
Although priced at US $5,999 (around $8,300 Australian dollars), following its release on September 18, pre-orders of the large Mosh/Tribute have already sold out, with few remaining of the medium.
The electric bicycle has a gloss black aluminium frame, white Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires and honey coloured leather seat and handlebars. It weighs just under 22 kilograms.
The bicycle’s integrated 529Wh lithium-ion battery has a range of 56 – 169 kilometres depending on the terrain and rider input and a lightweight, mid-mounted Brose S MAG motor can reach maximum speeds of 20mph (around 32 kilometres per hour).
The Mosh/Tribute is the first of the S1 Series which will involve small runs of limited-production, special-edition eBikes.
