Tesla has announced three new locations and allow interested people to view the Model 3 electric vehicle ahead of its launch in Australia next year.

Tesla Model 3′ was first unveiled to Australian consumers, and reservation holders, at highly anticipated preview events at locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in August of this year, where some reservation holders patiently waited up to two hours.

The mass-market EV will first be available for viewing in Queensland, at the Garden City Westfield shopping centre in Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane , starting from today and for the next two weeks until Sunday, October 28.

There will then be a viewing event running from November 5 until November 18 at Westfield Doncaster in Melbourne, Victoria, to be followed by an event at Chatswood Westfield in Sydney from November 26 until December 9.

A second event will then be held again at Doncaster over Christmas and the New Year, from December 24 until  January 6.

Speaking with The Driven, a spokesperson from Tesla confirmed that while visitors to the viewing events will be unable to drive the left hand drive version of the Model 3, they will be able to sit in it and get a real feel for what being in a Model 3 is all about.

In addition to the viewings across the east coast of Australia, Tesla has also announced that they will be installing Tesla Destination Chargers various Westfields adding to the 600 strong charging network the EV carmaker already has installed across the country.

So far, there are only Destination Chargers at two key Westfield locations in Sydney, in Chatswood and Sydney Central—Tesla are yet to provide more info on where the new ones will be installed first and we will keep you updated as we can.

When asked if there was more information on when the Model 3 would finally be available for purchase in Australia, Tesla’s spokesperson only said that it would be after left hand drive production of the Model 3 began as CEO Elon Musk had tweeted—that is, after mid-2019.

Unfortunately, there are no plans as yet for viewings in other states of Australia.
