Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the all-new electric GLC 400 4Matic electric SUV is now available to order in Australia, starting from $112,200 with a driving range of up to 630 kilometres and a massive MBUX Superscreen.
The GLC 400 4Matic is the first fully electric variant in its GLC medium SUV range, first unveiled in September 2025. It is built on the company’s electric-first MB.EA-M platform featuring 800-volt architecture and DC fast charging up to 330 kW.
A 94.4 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery delivers a WLTP tested driving range of 630 km. The dual-motor all-wheel drive system delivers up to 360 kW of power and 800 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0-100km/h in only 4.3 seconds.
Australian pricing for the Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 4Matic starts at $112,200 (MRLP), with sales starting from 22 July at dealerships across the country.
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 4Matic comes fitted with the MBUX Superscreen, an expansive digital cockpit that integrates a 10.3-inch driver display, 14-inch centre display, and a 14-inch front-passenger display, all sitting underneath a single glass surface.
Customers can also choose the optional MBUX Hyperscreen, a seamless 39.1-inch screen, which the company says is the largest screen ever offered in a Mercedes-Benz production vehicle.
The vehicle’s digital ecosystem is powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), an AI-driven superbrain that the company says “continuously optimises vehicle functions, connectivity, and user interaction via over-the-air updates”.
A range of driver assistance features under the MB.DRIVE banner are backed by 8 cameras, a front mid-range radar, four corner radar sensors, and twelve ultrasonic sensors.
When compared to the GLC’s internal combustion engine (ICE) variants, the new GLC 400 4Matic boasts a wheelbase 84mm longer, helping to deliver increased headroom and legroom for both front and rear occupants. Luggage capacity is 570 litres with the rear seats up, and 1,740l with the rear seats folded down. A 128l “frunk” provides additional storage.
Heated front sports seats with memory function, wood trim throughout, a one-piece panoramic roof, and heat- and noise-insulating glass combined with privacy glass are just some of the luxury features customers will be able to enjoy.
Outside, metallic paintwork is standard, which is complemented by the AMG Line and “sporty” air intakes, an AMG rear apron, and roof rails. The exterior look is further enhanced by 21-inch AMG Y-spoke light-alloy wheels, high-gloss black exterior accents, and a dark chrome grille element.
In addition to the optional MBUX Hyperscreen, other options include climatized front sport seats with massage function, heated rear seats, an illuminated star pattern in the panoramic roof, Digital Light projection function, and a Burmester high-end 4D surround sound system.
