Xpeng’s local distributor, True EV, has announced a new premium experience store at an iconic location in Sydney, just months after opening its Sydney Airport Flagship store.

The new store will be called the Crown Sydney Experience Centre and according to True EV, showcases a big milestone for Xpeng and its tech-focused EVs in the Australian market.

It will be located on the ground floor, right opposite Woodcut Restaurant, giving visitors to the prominent location an immersive experience of products such as the G6 electric SUV and Xpeng’s upcoming models.

Jason Clarke, CEO of TrueEV, said, ā€œWe are thrilled to bring our Experience Centre to such a prominent location in Sydney. The opening of our showroom at Crown reflects our commitment to offering Australians a new exciting and premium way to explore electric vehicles.

“As we continue to expand across the country, we look forward to connecting with even more customers and offering them a firsthand look at what makes XPENG so unique.ā€

At the end of 2024, Xpeng, officially launched in our market with the opening of its flagship experience centre at Sydney Airport.

On display at that store are multiple G6 vehicles, along with the Xpeng’s other EVs, including the X9, G9, P7 and the flying car.

The G6 has been a popular offering by the brand and so far has seen hundreds of deliveries, although the exact delivery numbers are yet to be confirmed.

With a price starting at under $55,000 before on-roads, the G6 is packed with tech and offers quite a bit of space in the cabin.Ā

These prices include all metallic paints and 20-inch sports wheels, making it one of the most well-equipped standard vehicles on the market.

With a focus on rear passenger comfort, it’s a well-rounded package. On top of that, the 800 V architecture allows for fast charging speeds exceeding over 200 kW at the right DC charger.

Metallic paints are also included in the price of the cars which is unlike the recently launched BYD Sealion 7.Ā

These are on top of the Sydney flagship store and include Wollongong, NSW, Port Melbourne and North Coburg in Victoria. True EV also plans to open 30 Xpeng locations in Australia, including 20, by the end of 2025.

The new experience centre at Crown Sydney, is expected to open by the end of April this year.
