Teslaās extensive supercharging network has been growing quite quickly over the past 12 months, with multiple sites opening across the country.Ā
One of these sites that caught EV enthusiasts and Tesla ownersā eyes before Christmas was Australiaās largest charging site in the town of Albury in NSW. This site had 16 of Teslaās newest V4 supercharging stations.
Now it appears a second V4 supercharging site has been spotted to be under construction. This time around, it is located in the Central Tablelands town of Orange in NSW.Ā
This was first spotted by a Central Western daily reader and shared on X by a local EV enthusiast KeenonEVs.

This site is expected to have 6 stalls and according to this report, 4 stalls have been installed so far.
Itās also based at a shopping centre with amenities. According to KeenonEVs, it’s in a good location: āGreat location. There is a small shipping centre with all amenities and food. One block from main shopping centre. Close to hotels pubs etc. It doesn’t get any better!ā.
This site is also located close to NRMAās Orange charger site which has an older Tritium Veefil 50 kW charger.
Itās also expected that the new Tesla site will be opened to non-Tesla EVs when it opens in the coming weeks.
Given that this site contains Teslaās next-generation fast-charging stalls, the chargers provide a longer cable to help charge non-Tesla EVs with varying charge port locations.
The cable length on the V4 units has been increased from 1.98 meters on the previous V3 superchargers to 2.98 meters.Ā
On top of that, faster charging speeds at future sites with this hardware are also expected. However, like Albury,Ā the charging stations at this site are expected to be limited to 250 kW each.
The latest site is located on Peisley Street in Orange and is likely to open before Easter.
