Tesla has told customers that deliveries of the newly refreshed Model 3 sedan could begin this month, ahead of expectations.
The refreshed Model 3 sedan was unveiled in September and made available for order in a number of markets, including Australia. Interested customers were advised of an estimated delivery date of January – March 2024.
Now, it seems that the first deliveries for some lucky order holders might happen in the coming weeks on this side of Christmas.Ā
Tesla has started sending emails to various order holders an email with the subject āYour Model 3 Has Been Assignedā, and says the car is currently in transit to Australia on board the Bergamot Ace vessel.
Delivery timeframe for some of these order holders is from later this month depending on how quickly the vehicles can be unloaded at the port and delivered to local Tesla delivery centres.
This is exciting news for hundreds of order holders for the upgraded model, which has several new features including a sleeker look, and changes to some key design elements and some key changes to the driving experience, as well as increased range.

Up until 2023, the Model 3 was the best-selling electric car, only to be overtaken by the Tesla Model Y, and in the month of November by the newly released MG4. It remains to be seen if the recent subdued sales can be revived by the refreshed version.
