The second electric vehicle (EV) to be launched by iconic British automotive marque Range Rover will be the Range Rover Sport Electric, a luxury electric SUV that the company hopes will “redefine” the segment.
Visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed held earlier this month were granted a preview of the forthcoming Range Rover Electric ahead of a full reveal set for some time later this year. This was one of a series of “curated events” Range Rover held over the British Summer to build hype for its first battery EV.
However, Range Rover confirmed a few days after the end of the Goodwood Festival that its second EV would be the Range Rover Sport Electric.

According to Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport Electric will integrate a suite of advanced technologies that deliver increased power and torque, and which will be amplified by an advanced chassis tune and audio sound.

“Electric power brings a new edge to Range Rover Sport,” said Martin Limpert, managing director for Range Rover.
“The preview at Goodwood Festival of Speed is only a glimpse of how this model will redefine performance SUVs again later this year, combining the refinement and immediate performance of electric drive while further elevating the unmistakable character of Range Rover Sport our clients already know and love.”
Further details of both the Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric will be announced later this year.
