Chinese electric commercial vehicle brand Farizon Auto is expanding its lineup in Australia with the addition of the new F3E light truck, boasting a range of over 300 kilometres and max payload capacity of 1,705kg.

Farizon, the commercial brand of Chinese automotive conglomerate Geely, is positioning the F3E between traditional vans and light truck platforms.

It is purpose built as an electric light truck and is available in cab chassis, tray, and cargo box configurations, and is capable of supporting an array of commercial applications including urban delivery, light freight, trade, and service.

It will feature a 72.8kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from Chinese battery manufacturing giant CATL, and delivers up to 1,705kg payload capacity on a 3,700mm wheelbase, and a driving range of up to 314 kilometres (WLTP).

The rear-wheel drive electric motor puts out up to 110kW of power and maximum torque of 260Nm, and a maximum speed of 90km/h. The 400V platform offers DC fast charging up to 100kW with a CCS2 plug, capable of taking the vehicle from 20 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes. It also features 11kW AC charging, which takes 6 hours to charge from 20 to 80 per cent.

The F3E also features 3.3kW/240V vehicle-to-load (V2L) via an AC charge port.

Inside, a range of commercial-focused safety, connectivity, and driver comfort features include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse camera functionality, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Pricing for the Farizon F3E starts from $48,990 before on-roads for the bare-bones cab chassis, $50,990 for the tray configuration, and $53,490 for the cargo box configuration.

The F3E joins the Farizon V7E and SV electric commercial vans and the H93 electric light truck in the company’s Australian range, distributed by Jameel Motors Australia.

“Businesses are increasingly looking for electric commercial vehicles that integrate naturally into existing operations while still delivering the capability and usability they rely on every day,” said Adam Lawson, country general manager for Jameel Motors Australia.

“The flexibility of the F3E range allows operators to select a configuration suited to their specific business needs, while still benefiting from the efficiency, lower operating complexity and everyday practicality of a purpose-built electric vehicle.”
