Tesla has launched a new round of incentives to boost Model 3 sales amid slowing deliveries of its sedan.
The latest initiative will see the company offer up to 1 year of free supercharging for those customers who order and take delivery of a new Model 3 in the US.
In an email sent to customers and potential buyers, Tesla says: āAvoid rising gas prices and pay nothing to power your car for the next year. With a new Model 3 Premium or Model 3 Performance, youāll get free Supercharging for a yearāso your charging costs are covered.āĀ
The company also highlights the benefits of owning a Tesla with Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised, with the email saying: āTo make your drive easier, activate Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and let your Model 3 take you to your next Supercharging stop.āĀ
This supercharging incentive is one of many that Tesla is offering to increase demand for its vehicles. Here in Australia, the company has also previously rolled out various incentives to boost sales of the Model 3 sedan.Ā
Earlier this year, Tesla added a $2,000 trade-in bonus to the Model 3 sedan to kick off 2026, which helped it gain some traction in the first few months.
So far, Tesla has sold 1,363 Model 3s in the country in Q1 2026, down from 2,046 over the same period last year.
In Australia, Tesla has also been offering other options not available to customers in the US, such as warranty extensions.
All new purchases of Model 3 and Y vehicles come with Teslaās recently upgraded 5-year unlimited-km warranty for buyers who get a car starting in 2026. This warranty is up from the earlier 4-year or 80,000 km warranty on offer.
On top of that, Tesla offers some of the cheapest fast-charging options available, thanks to its supercharger network, which we recently reported was as low as $0.27/kWh in some parts of Australia at off-peak times.
The supercharger network is also growing, with over 150 sites active across the country, making owning and living with a Tesla EV better than ever.
The latest incentive is likely to help Tesla boost sales of its Model 3 over the short term, but with the majority of the market leaning more towards SUV models and competition heating up in that space, too, itād be interesting to see what products Tesla may have coming to continue to grow sales.
