BYD ‘s 4th battery electric model in their lineup is the Sealion 7 SUV. The Sealion 7 features design cues from the BYD Seal and is a similar size to the Tesla Model Y. Two variants are available with the same 83 kWh battery pack, the rear-wheel drive Premium and all-wheel drive Performance version. Sealion 7 prices are below the popular Model Y and it has overtaken the rest of BYD’s lineup in terms of sales.
According to government certification documents, a more affordable Sealion 7 Dynamic variant with a less powerful rear motor and smaller battery pack is under consideration for Australia, although there is no official word from BYD yet.
