Chinese EV manufacturer GAC is planning to bolster its Australian lineup in Q2 2026 with the small Aion UT hatchback. The UT is similar in size to an MG4 or BYD Dolphin and utilises an LFP chemistry battery pack. Estimates based on overseas pricing position the Aion UT around the BYD Dolphin, so once launched it will be among the cheapest new EVs available.
