Tesla has revealed plans to deliver the world’s largest V4 supercharger site, featuring 400 supercharger stalls, which are to be installed in phases in California.Ā

According to Tesla supercharger development expert MarcoRP on X, this site will feature the next generation V4 500 kW superchargers and is expected to begin construction in the months to come.

ā€œTesla is planning an absolutely massive Supercharger expansion in Yermo, California!!” he said in the post. Ā “Over the course of 6 phases, Tesla is set to add over 400 V4 stalls.ā€

Over the course of 6 phases, Tesla is set to add over 400 V4 stalls in a commercial development known as Eddie World 2.

Other details are shared in the plan, which show multiple solar canopies on top of charging bays, which is always welcomed by EV drivers.

Back in November 2024, Tesla revealed its upgraded V4 supercharging cabinets, which are expected to deliver up to 500 kW per stall to compatible cars.Ā

The new V4 cabinets that power the supercharger dispensers operate at 400-1,000 V, delivering faster speeds to vehicles from Hyundai, Kia, Porsche, and Tesla, including the Cybertruck.

On top of the faster charging capabilities of the V4 cabinets, the next-generation system can support up to 8 stalls, double the current 4 stalls per cabinet at existing V4 sites.Ā

This will help with rolling out larger sites quicker, as is the case in this 400-stall site being proposed.

This has been previously described by Tesla, who stated that the new cabinets and electrical setup will reduce complexity and, more importantly, lower the space required for the cabinets at each site.

Tesla is continuing to roll out larger and larger sites, and in July 2025, the company opened a 168-stall Supercharger station, with a solar farm and big Megapack batteries.

Locally, in terms of big sites in Australia, it still holds the title for opening and operating some of the country’s largest sites. As of 2026, the largest fast-charging site in Australia is in Goulburn, NSW, with 20 charging stalls.Ā

With the number of EVs increasing by hundreds of thousands globally, more reliable fast chargers will be needed, and this 400-stall site shows the scale the company is willing to go to as EV adoption soars.

We look forward to seeing larger sites being deployed in Australia in the near future as the company approaches 150 sites nationally.Ā

These upcoming deployments should bring lower costs that would help keep Tesla Supercharger prices low compared to other high-powered networks, while focusing on reliability and larger sites.
