Zeekr, the Chinese maker of premium electric cars, has announced pricing of its upcoming electric SUV, with pricing of all three variants coming in much lower than expected.
At an event in Sydney this week, the company unveiled the Zeekr 7X, the next car in its lineup, which will also be Australia’s fastest-charging car on the market at launch, with 450 kW of charging speeds, allowing 10-80% charging in 13 minutes.
Starting with the line up and the pricing (before on-roads), locally we will see:
- RWD – $57,900
- Long Range RWD – $63,900
- Performance AWD – $72,900

At launch, Zeekr has also announced a special pre-order offer to the first thousand customers of this model which includes a seven-year vehicle warranty and seven-year roadside assist.
On top of that, customers will also receive a 7 kW home charger, typer 2 cable, a portable home charger as well as complimentary exterior paint colours.
This should help the brand get early customers on its biggest SUV and arguably its most important model in the Australian market so far, given the popularity of the mid-size SUVs on our roads.
The entry-level RWD features Zeekr’s 75 kWh battery pack which the company calls it’s golden brick Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery.
This has been developed by Zeekr engineers in-house, allowing for charging speeds of up to 450 kW, thanks to the 800 V architecture the model sits on.
This battery will also deliver up to 480 km of WLTP range on a single charge, while the Long Range RWD bumps that to 615 km. That model has a 100 kWh Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) battery, providing more range for $6,000 more.
The line-up also includes the top-spec Performance AWD which packs a punch, with acceleration of 0-100 km/h taking just 3.8 seconds, down from 6 seconds in the base model.
This top-spec Performance AWD variant’s range drops back to 543 km, thanks to the addition of the second motor.
All models also include V2L (vehicle-to-load) capability with 3.3 kW output, making it convenient to power other electrical devices when needed.
The latest car from Zeekr arrives within 12 months of the brand launching its first model in Sydney, the Zeekr X.
In April, Zeekr also announced that it will lower the price of the small Zeekr X SUV as it planned to bring the 7X into our market later this year.
Pricing of the base rear-wheel-drive model saw a $7,000 price cut, which now starts at $49,900 before on-roads.
The top-spec all-wheel-drive model also saw its prices reduced by $2,000, coming in at $62,990 before on-roads.
Zeekr has since also added a few stores in Queensland, Victoria and NSW, helping grow the network across the country and has plans to further increase its network with the 7X launch.

The Zeekr 7X is the most anticipated car from the brand and with European deliveries starting, it sets the path for the launch of the model in Australia too.
With that it would also bring the fastest charging car available to Australian customers and we can’t wait for that, as it will push the boundary on charging speeds and infrastructure when it does happen.
