Chinese car maker Zeekr, fresh from reaching 10,000 sales in Australia off the back of three electric models, has released details of its next EV offering in Australia.
At an event in New Zealand, the company announced that the 7GT electric wagon will be coming in three variants, with power of up to 500 kW on the top-spec all-wheel drive (AWD) variant.
The three variants being offered will be similar to the current 7X SUV, and will comprise an entry-level RWD, a Long Range RWD and a Performance AWD.
The base RWD model will come with a Zeekr-engineered 75 kWh battery pack, which in the European market delivers over 500 km of WLTP range. The Golden Brick Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery has been developed by Zeekr engineers in-house.
This variant comes with a powerful 335 kW rear-mounted motor, which helps it do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.5 seconds.
The line-up then goes on to the Long Range RWD, which comes with a bigger 100 kWh Qilin Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) battery pack, which bumps the range to 655 km and can be charged in 15 minutes, thanks to peek charging speeds of up to 450 kW.
The 0-100 km/h sprint time is also lowered to 5.5 seconds with the larger battery pack, which still has the same 335 kW power output.
The top-spec AWD packs a bigger punch, with dual electric motors with an output of 500 kW and able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, compared to 6.5 seconds in the base model.
The top-spec AWD variant’s range drops back to just over 550 km, due to the addition of the second motor.
In Europe, this top spec variant also features active air suspension, to help adjust the height of the car on varying surfaces.
The latest news on the Australian market variants comes 8 months after the 7GT electric performance wagon debuted in Europe at the Brussels Motor Show 2026 in January.
Pricing of the 7GT wagon’s configurator in The Netherlands in Europe, where deliveries have begun range between €45,990 and €58,490. For comparison, the 7X SUV is currently priced from €53,990 to €63,990.
We expect the model to land just shy of $60,000 before on-roads in Australia, with the top-spec Performance variant to be offered around $75,000 before on-roads.
On the design front, the 7 GT really targets buyers who are looking for practicality with space and a level of sportiness.
Here in Australia, Zeekr currently offers the small electric SUV, the X, a luxury people mover, the 009 and the latest 7X mid-sized SUV.
With Zeekr becoming one of the most popular brands in 2026, mainly off the back of the 7X SUV, the new wagon with more power and faster acceleration figures could be something that once again elevates the brand and bring more ICE drivers behind the wheel of their first EV.
Detailed specs, pricing and launch timing is expected to be released closer to the model’s launch, which we are expecting in the coming months.
