Geely has introduced a new sales incentive alongside its upgraded EX5 Extended Range model, offering 1.88% comparison rate finance over 36 months and a free 7 kW home charger on eligible vehicles.
The move follows a $2,500 cashback offer that ran over the past two months, as Geely looks to maintain sales momentum, and comes shortly after the announcement of the new Extended Range model, delivering up to 475 km of WLTP range – up from 430 km previously.
The offer applies to new in-stock EX5 vehicles purchased before 31 March 2026.
The AC home wall charger is a 7 kW single-phase unit and will be available with the car but won’t include installation.
On the company’s website, it says: “Geely EX5 Extended Range: With up to 475km WLTP range, 1.88% p.a. Comparison Rate with No Deposit for a 36-Month Term. Plus Free EV Home Charger*. Offer Ends 31 March 2026.” The new Geely EX5 Extended sees a $1,000 price increase across both Complete and Inspire variants.
The new battery will see the entry-level Geely EX5 Complete top out with a range of 475km, up 45km, whereas the more powerful EX5 Inspire will now see its range increased to 450km, up 40km.

The upgraded battery continues to utilise the company’s Short Blade battery technology and has been subjected to and passed Geely’s so-called “Devil’s Test” which proves the battery’s safety and durability in a range of extreme scenarios including everything from immersion in corrosive seawater, extreme hot and cold environments, high-frequency scraping from below, 26-tonne overweight rolling, side collision, and even exposure to open flame.
Charging the car from 30-80% will take around 20 minutes with 100 kW peak DC charging speeds available. 11 kW AC charging is also on offer for those with a three-phase power source.
On top of that, vehicle-to-load (V2L) is available with a discharge rate of up to 3.3 kW.
Geely launched in Australia with the EX5 SUV almost a year ago, in March 2025. Geely says it has sold more than 5,000 vehicles locally over the past 12 months.

Over the last 12 months, Geely has offered multiple incentives to attract buyers, from free charging to cashback of thousands of dollars per sale, which helped the brand maintain strong volumes.
The latest round of incentives for the newer EX5 shows that competition in the mid-size electric SUV segment is on the rise and likely to intensify as more new models enter the market in the months to come.
